007 Screenwriters Begin Working On James Bond 25
Things are starting to get moving on a new James Bond movie.
It’s expected that towards the end of this year, James Bond 25 – its holding title for the time being – will finally go before the cameras, ahead of a release towards the end of 2018. None of this has been confirmed, but it’d fit the release cycle that Eon Productions seems to be leaning towards.
There are questions still to answer, of course. Who is going to direct the new James Bond film, now that Sam Mendes has moved away from the series? And will Daniel Craig be returning to play 007?
John Logan had, at least, been working on a screenplay for the movie. But now, the Daily Mail’s Baz Bamigboye is reporting that regular Bond screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are being lured back. They’ve worked on every Bond adventure since The World Is Not Enough, and had left the series following Skyfall. However, they were asked back to help get Spectre into shape, and it looks like they’ve agreed to come back again. Again, this hasn’t been confirmed as of yet.
The same report also adds that Daniel Craig hasn’t yet decided still whether he’s coming back or not.
Sam Mendes was involved in the story development of Spectre, and it’s unclear, in the absence of a director, who’s helping to guide this one. We’ll keep you posted on the SPLASH REPORT as we hear more, of course.
