Breaking: THE JOKER Origin Film In the Works With Scorsese as Producer

Earlier today Deadline reported that Warner Bros. and DC are working on a The Joker origin story under the DC umbrella, that could be one of many other spinoffs from their known quantities. The film is set to be co-written and directed by Todd Phillips, who directed The Hangover as well as the more-recent War Dogs. Scott Silver, who wrote 8 Mile and the award-winning The Fighter, will be the other screenwriter. Michael K. Williams’ Role Cut from HAN SOLO Film

Michael K. Williams, star of the HBO show The Night Of, was slated to have a half-human, half-alien role in the upcoming Han Solo origin story currently in production by Lucasfilm. Well, after Ron Howard recently took over to reshoot parts of the movie and change its tone, it seems like the role is no more. Williams, who first rose to acclaim after playing Omar Little in HBO’s hit The Wire, is now a pretty busy guy. Splashomaniacs, Deadpool 2 recently resumed filming after taking a short hiatus folling the tragic death of stuntwoman Joi Harris. FX has released the first full-length American Horror Story: Cult trailer, for the upcoming seventh season, which looks like it takes place during the 2016 presidential election, and how the characters (played by Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters) react to Donald Trump winning the election.
