According Variety, Riz Ahmed (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) is looking to join another universe as he is in early talks to join Sony’s Venom movie, the studio’s spin-off in a shared universe based on Spider-Man characters. Details on Ahmed’s part have not yet been uncovered, insiders say that he’ll be playing a well known Marvel Comics character, but he would not be playing Carnage. Spider-Man: Homecoming producer Kevin Feige ensnared for good all speculation that the teenage superhero would be making an appearance in the upcoming Venom movie starring Tom Hardy.
