Arnold Schwarzenegger Done With The TERMINATOR Franchise

So, it looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger is done as The Terminator. Take a moment and be sad. There were talks of a sequel to Terminator: Genysis, but those having all but died. Paramount execs have decided to pass on another opportunity to take us back to Terminator country.

Los Angeles-based sources tell the NY Daily News:

“It is over for ‘The Terminator’ and Arnold. The studio has taken the sequel off the production slate completely, meaning there is no preproduction or any plans for another sequel. The talent had been offered long term deals, but this is not happening. The Genisys movie was seen as a way of reviving (the franchise), but the critics were not happy and somehow the studio bosses fell out of love with making more, even though they made huge profits.”

The movie made money. It just doesn’t make sense. $500 million in profits and you don’t want to make another. Who is this person that has this Vendetta. Clearly, a Terminator killed someone ‘s family and this is revenge.

To make a fair point, asking a 70 year old Arnold Schwarzenegger to return to the role is a bit much. He’s just walked away from The Apprentce, and now he has the world to conquer. At any rate, maybe an independent studio cab help bring back Arnold’s Terminator one last time.
