BAD BOYS FOR LIFE Is Taking Forever
Fourteen years ago Bad Boys II hit theaters and continued the comical yet dangerous relationship between Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowery, played by Martin Lawrence and Will Smith respectively. Both Bad Boys one and two were fan favorites and made the name Mike Lowery a household name in any bantering situation. Part three of the series, Bad Boys Forever, has been long awaited and what seemed to be a positive turn has now been a set back.
It was recently reported that the film has lost its director which now pushes the film release back further into the unknown. So far back that Martin Lawrence doesn’t think it will ever happen, as he shared with Entertainment Weekly;
“I don’t think we’re going to get one, not the way everything’s turning out. Will is off doing another movie, and I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
All this is after last year Will Smith, aka Mike Lowery was pretty positive about the progression towards a third film, while on set of his Disney live action Aladdin movie, while speaking about the chances of the film being made and his experience playing along side Martin Lawrence;
“I love that dude. That’s among the best times I’ve ever had making movies. So I’m looking forward to it.”
That is all we will have to look forward to for now as there is no other news coming from the studios. Somewhat of a disappointment that it took 14 years to get to what looks like more maybe’s.
