Check Out the First Trailer for The Rock’s Upcoming RAMPAGE Film!

Fans of The Rock and of 1980s nostalgia can surely rejoice at the arrival of the trailer for the upcoming Warner Bros. film, Rampage. The clip, clocking in at over 2.30, gives the contours of what promises to be an exciting and even terrifying film that tries its best to adapt what is a staid, storyless video game to the big screen.

In the game, you basically had to destroy as many buildings as you could without getting beaten down by angry denizens or by the military dispatched to down the two main creatures in the game (a giant gorilla being one of them). The plot of the film revolves around The Rock’s character, a primatologist who has deep connections to the animals he cares for, as he seeks to protect these animals when they become beasts by an accidental genetic experiment. In other words, it promises all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a The Rock movie.

Rampage, which also stars Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Joe Manganiello, among others, is being directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas), and has an expected release date of April 20, 2018.
