Expendables Writer Dave Callaham Joins WONDER WOMAN Sequel Drafting Team

Dave Callaham, one of the writers of the action movie The Expendables, has joined the writing team of Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns in connection with the upcoming Wonder Woman sequel.

Jenkins herself brought Callaham onto the fold, THR reported last night, as they had a working relationship from collaborating on a project called Jackpot, which was going to be Jenkins’ next before being tapped to direct Wonder Woman.

While the details of the sequel are not yet fully known, Jenkins and Johns have been working on the screenplay for a few weeks at least, and Jenkins has said she wants the story set in the Cold War, several decades after the original. The original was a box office and critical success, earning over $800 million worldwide.

Callaham, in addition to working on The Expendables, has been associated with projects such as The Wolfman, one of Paramount’s monsters universe franchise, and 2014’s Godzilla.
