J.K. Rowling Denies Harry Potter And The Cursed Child Movie Rumors
J.K. Rowling has put a patronum spell on a rumor about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child being adapted into a three-part series starring Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.
The rumor comes from Jim Hill, who’s a reputable source in the theme park community. He’s connected within Universal, and since they own The Wizarding World, it’s quite possible that he could be hearing chatter about the future of Harry Potter. Hill made the following remarks on a recent podcast:
“I have heard that Warner Bros. has actually had conversations with [Emma], with Rupert, and, of course, Daniel about Cursed Child, because they want this to be, for lack of a better term, Harry Potter: The Force Awakens. They want this trilogy of movies to have the actors that we know and love from the original films, that we watched grow up, as adults.”
Here’s what Rowling had to say about this Friday morning:
I know a lot of people are looking for reasons to be cheerful today, but there is NO TRUTH to the rumour about a #CursedChild movie trilogy!

Warner Bros and Rowling can deny this all they want but the reality is that the Harry Potter franchise is a money making machine. I can totally see the original trilogy actors come back for another run. Money is magical, don’t forget that.
Would you like to see the original actors come back for future films?
