Kevin Feige Won’t Say “Never” to Solo HULK Movie, But Ruffalo Will

During Disney’s live action D23 panel over the weekend, differing voices gave different answers to questions about whether fans would ever see another standalone Hulk movie with Marvel and Universal. Since the latter studios holds those rights, the character can right now only appear as a supporting character as he will in the upcoming Thor film.

Mark Ruffalo, the actor currently portraying the Jade Giant, said that a standalone movie would never happen.

“I wanna make just one thing perfectly clear today, a standalone Hulk movie will never happen,” he says in a video while smiling. “For some reason they don’t know how to play well with Marvel, [and] because they don’t want to make money,” referring to Universal.

But Marvel president Kevin Feige had a predictably different take, essentially refusing to rule out the project and warning fans he never says never.
