Leslie Uggams Returns For DEADPOOL 2
Hello there, are you ready for some positive Deadpool 2 news? Of course you are, but have you eaten your vegetables? (leans over and looks at your plate) Well, I guess you’ve done enough. So, Blind Al (Leslie Uggams) will be returning for the the sequel to 2016’s surprise hit.
Blackfilm.com learned that Leslie Uggams would be returning to the role when production begins in a few months. Which is great news because there was some very funny roommate moments in the first film. According to the site:
At the afterparty for HBO’s The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, which stars Oprah Winfrey and features Uggams in a supportive role, I spoke to Ms. Uggams and asked if she will be returning to the sequel, and she replied, “Definitely.” Uggams is currently portraying Leah Walker, mother of Lucious Lyon (played by Terrence Howard) on Lee Daniels’ hit TV series Empire on Fox.
Well, the list of characters for Deadpool 2 is growing, and now that we know Josh Brolin is Cable, we may be down to little cameos and Easter Eggs. Let us hope that Cannonball came squeeze in a small introduction.
You know what, even if Fox doesn’t strike a deal with Marvel, I’m kind of looking forward to the X-Force becoming a feature film. Heck, one day maybe we’ll even see the X-Factor crew make an appearance. Anyone want to see Strong Guy onscreen?
