Netflix Debuts Trailers for Two Upcoming Movies

Though the two movies won’t be premiering until Sundance Film Festival, Netflix has released the trailers for I don’t feel at home in this world anymore and Deidra and Laney Rob a Train. The two films will launch on Netflix later in the year. I don’t feel at home in this world anymore is the directorial debut of Macon Blair, who starred in Jeremy Saulnier’s Green Room and Blue Ruin. The film stars Melanie Lynskey as a nursing assistant who’s suffering from an existential breakdown. After her home is burglarized, she teams up with a marital arts enthusiast played by Elijah Wood in order to track down the thieves. Rising actress Jane Levy also costars in the film. The film is produced by the producers of cult hit Green Room and indie drama Certain Women. I don’t feel at home in this world anymore will launch on Netflix on February 24, 2017.

From Sydney Freeland, the director of Drunktown’s Finest, Deidra and Laney Rob A Train follows high school students and sisters Deidra and Laney. After the girls’ mother is thrown in jail for committing a minor offense, Deidra and Laney begin robbing trains in order to support their family. Tim Blake Nelson plays a cop who begins following the girls’ trail. The film also stars Saturday Night Live cast member Sasheer Zamata. Deidra and Laney Rob a Train is expected to launch on Netflix on  March 17, 2017.

Sundance Film Festival begins on January 19th 2017 and ends on the 27th. I don’t feel at home in this world anymore will be appearing in the U.S Dramatic Competition alongside Brigsby Bear starring Saturday Night Live‘s Kyle Mooney, and Burning Sands starring Moonlight‘s Trevante Rhodes. In the Premieres category, Cate Blanchett is already receiving Oscar buzz for her breathtaking performance in Manifesto, even though the film hasn’t premiered yet. Percy Jackson‘s Logan Lerman has received a considerable amount of buzz for his performance in Sydney Hall. Critics are also anticipating Wilson, starring Woody Harrelson, and Taylor Sheridan’s directorial debut Wind River.
