Nicole Kidman Could Be Heading Back To The DC Universe In AQUAMAN!
Immediately following the news that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is in talks to play Black Manta in Aquaman, The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman is heading back to the DC Universe (She played Dr. Chase Meridian in 1995’s Batman Forever).
According to the site, Nicole Kidman is in early talks to play Aquaman’s mother in the upcoming DC Film. Kidman has been director James Wan’s top choice for weeks, and the official offer is finally going out on Monday.
If all goes well Kidman will be joining Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Aquaman’s wife, Mera, Willem Defoe as Aquaman’s advisor, scientist Dr. Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Aquaman’s treacherous brother, Orm the Ocean Master and of course Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta if he takes the role.
The film follows Arthur Curry aka Aquaman who learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and he must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world.
Aquaman swims into theaters on October 5, 2018.
