Samuel L. Jackson Upset He Is Not In BLACK PANTHER
Splashigans, Samuel L Jackson is the man. You know that, but when beginning to speak of him it’s necessary to start with that statement. Mr. Jackson is apparently upset that he wasn’t invited to appear in 2018’s Black Panther.
He also stated Nick Fury won’t be in ‘Avengers 3’, ‘Avengers 4’, or ‘Black Panther’, but it’s his character’s omission from the Africa-set Marvel adventure that seems to have annoyed him the most. Which I honestly don’t understand because Infinity War and Infinity Gauntlet are a much bigger deal than Black Panther. But, Mr. Jackson goes on to tell Yahoo Movies:
“I wasn’t in the ‘superhero argument’ movie [Captain America: Civil War], I’m not in ‘Avengers 3 and 4’. They’re shooting them now, and they haven’t called me yet… They wouldn’t let me go to Black Panther-ville, so it’s kinda like how you gonna make a black Marvel movie and not let Nick Fury show up in it?!”
And as for the news that Jackson will be in Captain Marvel?
“No… I haven’t signed a contract, I haven’t seen a script. I talked to the Brie (Larson) the other day, she didn’t say anything, she’s the only person I know that’s actually in the movie.”
I don’t get the lack of love for Nick Fury. He was a great character, and though S.H.I.E.L.D. is playing a much smaller role in the MCU now, there’s still a place for Fury somewhere in this world. Jackson uttering the words “Avengers Initiative” lit the world on fire.
Nick Fury has noticeably absent since Captain America: The Winter Soldier and he briefly appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Fury’s next MCU appearance is in 2019’s Captain Marvel, which will be set in the 1990’s and he’ll have both eyes. Here’s to hoping that this is all a ploy and they’ve secretly filmed his Avengers stuff already.
