New SPAWN Script Announcement from Todd MacFarlane

New SPAWN Script Announcement from Todd MacFarlane

Todd MacFarlane is alive and well, and so is the fate of another film adaptation of his popular comic book character: SPAWN. Surely we all remember the original film, starring Michael Jai White (who I’ve since become a huge fan of, Black Dynamite) and John Legizamo.

Well, it’s been a long time since 1997 and MacFarlane decided to treat his YouTube followers to this announcement:

It appears that MacFarlane has finished the script to the new film. And, he’s also done the legwork of trimming it down to an acceptable amount of time for studio executives. We can only assume that’s to prevent studios from tinkering with his work.

But, we’ll have to stay tuned for his official film announcement for full details. It was kind of him to show us a page from the script, despite it being from a rather quiet Page 6. But, that’s one more reason to look forward to Sand Diego Comic Con (or slightly before), right?

We’ll keep you posted as more news pours in from MacFarlane on this latest SPAWN film.
