THE RAID Is Un-Remake-Able But Joe Carnahan Will Direct While Frank Grillo Set To Star
Here’s some disappointing news, Frank Grillo (someone who has gained a tremendous amount of respect over the last few years) is involved in a remake of The Raid. Rarely does this writer feel the need to take a stand, but “NO!” The Raid was perfect. The action is impossible to outdo, unless you’re talking about its sequel which deserves to be bowed to.
Director Joe Carnahan (@Carnojoe) tweeted:
You can’t remake The Raid, guys. It’s a fantastic film. So, ask yourselves why would we be doing it, unless we had something really special.

Well Joe, in the name of all that is good in this world, just pick another project. The subtitles were not a big factor, because the dialogue is minimal. Someone who is close to Joe Carnahan or Frank Grillo, speak to them. Tell them the Care Bears are in need of a remake. Let’s really get gritty and see what Sunshine Bear is made of.
For those unfamiliar with The Raid, it is an action movie set in Indonesia. The plot is really simple: A SWAT team is headed into a building where the drug lord is on the top floor, but as soon as they enter they are spotted and CARNAGE ENSUES.
Here’s the trailer and for the love of all that has bacon on it, GO SEE THE RAID!
