Watch The Newly Released Trailer for 7 DAYS IN ENTEBBE

Inspired by the true events of a 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight from Paris to Tel Aviv, the upcoming Focus Features film 7 Days in Entebbe now has a new thrilling trailer. In real life, the hijackers forced the jet to land in Entebbe, Uganda, where they attempted to negotiate the release of certain Palestinian hostages held in Israel. This led to what can best be described as a pretty daring rescue mission.

The film starts Oscar-nominated actress Rosamund Pike along with Daniel Bruhl, and is directed by Narcos director Jose Padilla. It is set for a release in March of 2018. The twist here is that Pike and Bruhl are the hijackers, not the heroes as you may expect. The 2:30 minute long or so trailer also shows them as they hold the hostages and as Israeli forces prepare a rescue mission. Given the star power of the leads, you do have do wonder about what political spin the film will have. The events have been adapted into film a couple of times before at least, but not since the 1970s in the wake of the events at Entebbe. Vincent Cassel and Eddie Marsan also star in the film.
