Vincent D’Onofrio wants to see Spider-Man fight Kingpin in the MCU

Every Marvel fan in the world would love to see Spider-Man fight Kingpin. And it looks like Vincent D’Onofrio feels the same way.

The veteran villainous actor, who joined the Marvel universe with Netflix’s Daredevil, has one of the best twitter feeds around. He’s been known to be very accessible and interactive with his fans, which lead to an interesting tweet when he was asked a question by a Spanish Marvel twitter account called Universo De Marvel (The Marvel Universe).

Check out D’Onofrio’s tweet below:

Obviously it’s a long shot that we ever get to see Spider-man fight Kingpin in the MCU, but fans can hope. Still, never say never. Everyone involved knows how popular the villain is with fans and with Vincent D’Onofrio more than game to make the transition, we wouldn’t completely rule out the possibility of Kingpin showing his face in a Marvel movie one day.

It may not be one that involves Spider-Man, but something tells us the barriers will eventually come down and the studio will allow both Wilson Fisk and several others to start crossing over in due time. By the way…how cool would it be to see Tom Holland’s Spider-man show up in one of the Netflix shows. One can only hope, right? Hmmm…

In the meantime here’s the synopsis for Spider-Man Homecoming:

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.).

Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Spider-Man Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7th!
