SDCC 2017: WONDER WOMAN 2 Officially Announced At Hall H Plus More!

WB came out in spectacular fashion today in the sacred Hall H at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Fans were delighted with the announcement of a revised slate for their favorite DC characters. Leading the way with a great fan reaction was the announcement of Wonder Woman 2 with Gal Gadot , Ben Affleck, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher and Jason Momoa present in the hall. No official announcement as of yet if Patty Jenkins will return to helm Wonder Woman 2.

Also officially announced was The Flash with the subtitle Flashpoint along with Suicide Squad 2, Batgirl, The Batman, Shazam , Justice League Dark and Green Lantern Corps was again reaffirmed to be on the slate.

Momoa made a grand entrance from the back of the hall, charging through the crowd with Trident in hand and sending the fans into a frenzy. The first footage rolled and it showed 2 men fishing in a boat when their line is caught and the boat is dragged and nearly pulled under. The men look over their boat into the water and ships can be seen moving below the surface. The cam then moves under water and you can see Atlanteans riding on the back of sea creatures and an entire fleet of ships can be seen moving towards an underwater port. Later in the panel Momoa revealed this is the fleet that belongs to his brother, Ocean Master, who will be Aquaman’s nemesis in the upcoming movie. It then cuts to Aquaman standing inside a ship twirling his sword and saying to an offscreen character “you don’t want to talk about this do you? Good, neither do I.”

In a very interesting move, Ben Affleck addressed the rumors that he may be on his way out of Director Matt Reeves’ , The Batman.

“I am the luckiest guy in the world.Batman is the coolest fucking part. There’s a misconception that because I wasn’t directing it, I wasn’t enthusiastic about it.”

Affleck added to a cheering crowd.

“I would be a fucking ape on the ground for Matt Reeves.”
