Write For Us

Are you a good writer? Do you love movies? Do you have time to spare? Do you love dishing the scoops, researching news stories, scouring the Net for all things movie-related and writing about the latest film and TV projects to come?

We are looking for passionate bloggers/reporters to join our team, not just to report news, but to have a unique insight that engages everyone not just movie buffs.

Position: News Contributor(s) / Columnist / TV Reporter

TV Reporter: We’re looking for people to review and/or recap the geek shows that happen around the year such as The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, The Flash, Arrow and more.

Columnist: Have lots of original ideas that you want to share and discuss? We want you to write them up for us. Put your thoughts out there for people to see and have the support of the Splash Report team and community behind you.

News Contributor: We are looking for people who will be write at least 3-4 stories a day (350+ words a piece) about the latest entertainment news including:

  • New movie announcements
  • Casting news
  • Production developments
  • Photo posts
  • Movie and TV trailers

The positions are open to anyone over the age of 18 – regardless of where you live from any country, any city, any street, any gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse, so you get the picture. As long as you’ve got a solid connection to the Internet, email…you are a likely candidate.

If you’re interested in writing for the site, please send your application to splashreportmail@gmail.com along with 3 relevant writing samples of at least 250+ words each. Extensive knowledge of TV and Movie (both past and present) is a must. Knowledge of WordPress a plus.

Also include:

  • What position would you like to apply for? If more than one, please list in the order of preference.
  • How many posts are you able to do per week?
  • Are you interested in doing features/editorial/opinion pieces on geek culture; entertainment?
